mile course...6 laps of racing = 1 mile. 330' straights, 35' radius turns. On
the pins = 5280' for the six laps.
We use 2:30 minute countdown, 30 second "no-launch"; you can budget 1
lap mill, and all electric classes can pull into the in-field after
finishing....so 7 laps would be the minimum.
FE-2 Spec class is LSO with 700 motor. SV 27 is box stock, run together, scored
seperately...yes. Lipo, 1P allowed. If someone wants to run NiMh in these or any
classes, they are welcome to.
Permitted SV 27 modifications:
- motor and stuffing tube minor adjustments to ensure proper drive-line
alignment
- removal of the radio box
- relocating the antenna
- addition of a port side turn fin
- removal of aft battery wood bracing
- interior strengthening and waterproofing
No changes to the hull exterior
The factory installed motor, electronic speed control, strut and rudder must be
used
LSH is 700 motor, 1P LiPo allowed.
OPC is 14.8V with SV power
Offshore will be (at this pond) a marker buoy deep out off the back straight
approx 60 deg out from 3 ~100' or so deep into the backstraight; around the
entrance pin to 4-5-6, back out around 4-5-6 down the fron straight. Can't come
inside the course into the middle (floating digital time clock resides at the
midpoint of the course...we don't want collisions with the clock. This is a
typical offshore style cours ein the IMPBA.
Boats can be either mono's or cats.
